About


The field of painting includes the emergence of emotion and excitement within the artist and conveying the message of the determined topics. The painter paints what he wants through shapes and colors on small and large surfaces with various tools and methods and communicates with others through it. The soul and spirit of the painter directly affects his artwork and puts it in the direction and serving the goals of society's values.In 2007, the bachelor of painting was established in University of Guilan with the purpose of creating the context for the growth and development of Painting graduates can meet the increasing needs of society in different related aspects to painting. The average period of painting bachelor is 4 years which consists of 8 semesters and each semester includes 16 weeks. The total number of painting bachelor’s degree is 140 units. There are 320 students in this department.

Majors and Programs


Agricultural Economics majors complete a set of prerequisite courses, a core of classes offered by the Agricultural Economics Department, and one or more fields comprised of selected courses from outside the department.  The core includes courses in economic reasoning, agribusiness management, environmental and resource policy, agricultural policy, economic development, and analytical methods.  The program permits students flexibility in choosing fields to fit their career interests.  Majors must complete one and are strongly encouraged to complete two fields.  The curriculum balances breadth and depth and lets students develop academic skills in two or more areas.  The program provides a good foundation for careers in economics, resource or environmental policy, agribusiness, and international agriculture.

Upon completion of the degree program, students should have acquired the following knowledge and skills:
    An understanding of economic terms and concepts.
    An ability to draw inferences from data.
    A knowledge of relevant laws, institutions, and policies.

Facilities and Equipment

  • Teaching

    Graduates of this field, theoretical and technical principles and foundations of art, can participate in educational fields (education and other cultural and educational centers) and work in the field of creating and criticizing works of art. Teaching in this field is based on learning in small groups, individual training and group work.
  • Research

    The faculty members of the painting department are interested in research in their specialized field, and these researches are often done in the form of presenting articles in domestic and international conferences and seminars, as well as in the form of guidance for students' final projects.
