Department of Applied Mathematics

About

The Department of Mathematics at the University of Guilan was founded in 1975 offering undergraduate degree in mathematics. In 2011, by the approval of the University senate it was promoted to the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences with four departments (Applied Mathematics, Pure Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science). Currently, the department offers undergraduate degree jointly with the Department of Pure Mathematics, MSc in Numerical Analysis, Control and Optimization, Financial Mathematics, Data Sciences, Differential Equations and Dynamical Systems, as well as Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics. Currently, the department has 10 full-time faculty members and more than 30 adjunct lecturers.
