At the 2025 World Kickboxing Championships held in Abu Dhabi, UAE, Seyed Ali Mir-Miran, representing the University of Guilan, secured a bronze medal in the veterans' category, adding another milestone to his distinguished career.

Mir-Miran is widely recognized as the former captain of Iran’s national wushu team. He is also regarded as the most decorated Sanda wushu athlete in the country’s history. His record includes two world championship gold medals, a gold medal at the Asian Games, and a world bronze medal. These achievements reflect both his longevity and sustained excellence in martial arts.
