In line with deepening scientific and cultural ties among Caspian Sea countries, a Persian language training course, organized in collaboration with the University of Guilan and hosted by Atyrau State University named after Kh. Dosmukhamedov, has commenced.

This one-month intensive course, designed to introduce participants to Iranian language and culture, attracted strong participation from students of Atyrau State University named after Kh. Dosmukhamedov. It covers foundational Persian vocabulary, common expressions, proverbs, and translation of classical and contemporary literary texts. Beyond language instruction, the program highlights aspects of Iranian culture and literature to help participants gain a deeper appreciation of the elegance and spirit of the Persian language.

Dr. Sevinj Mehdikhanli, a faculty member of the Russian Language Department at the University of Guilan, attended the course at the official invitation of the Rector of Atyrau State University named after Kh. Dosmukhamedov. In addition to teaching, she is participating in joint research activities with the host university’s faculty. During this academic visit, she held meetings with the university rector, vice president for research, and director of international relations—meetings expected to pave the way for expanded future collaboration between the two institutions.

It is noteworthy that, given Atyrau State University named after Kh. Dosmukhamedov’s membership in the Association of the State Universities of the Caspian sea Region Countries, such interactions can significantly contribute to achieving the Association’s scientific, cultural, and regional objectives.
