"Among the believers are men true to what they promised Allāh. Among them is he who has fulfilled his vow [to the death], and among them is he who awaits [his chance]. And they did not alter [the terms of their commitment] by any alteration" (The Qur'an, Al-Ahzab:23)

Following the heinous and inhumane act of the usurper Zionist regime on the dawn of Friday, June 13 by openly violating the territorial integrity of our country, which led to the unjust martyrdom of a group of the brave sons of this land, including high-ranking military commanders, prominent professors and scientists, and innocent citizens, the University of Guilan, expressing deep sympathy with the bereaved families, strongly condemns this terrorist and criminal act.

This painful tragedy once again revealed the brutal and inhuman nature of a regime that, disregarding all international and humanitarian standards, commits murder and destruction. The martyrdom of the proud commanders of Islam and the country's committed and elite scientists who devoted their lives to the advancement of the homeland and the advancement of knowledge is an irreparable loss for the Iranian scientific and academic community.

Academics, professors, students and staff of the University of Guilan, expressing congratulating and offering condolences for their martyrdom of these loved ones to the supreme leader of the revolution, the noble nation of Iran, and especially the martyrs' families, condemn this cowardly movement and declare that these crimes will not only interfere with the Iranian nation, but also will make everyone more determined on realizing the noble ideals of the martyrs and on advancement of the country.

May the pure spirits of these martyrs find eternal peace in the arms of the Almighty God and we wish health to those injured and affected by this incident.

The University of Guilan is obliged to keep the path of these loved ones with extended efforts in the field of science and to take an effective step towards the authority and pride of Islamic Iran.
