In a significant recognition of academic excellence, seven faculty members from the University of Guilan have been named among the highly cited researchers in the fields of humanities, social sciences, arts and architecture for 2025.
According to a report from the Vice Presidency for Research and Technology at the University of Guilan, the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC) has recognized these faculty members for their significant contributions to their respective fields.
The ISC publishes an annual report identifying highly cited researchers across 16 subject areas within these disciplines over a 10-year period (2014-2023). The following individuals were recognized: Dr. Reza Simbar and Dr. Seyed Amir Niakooyi in the field of Sociology and Political Science; Dr. Abbas Abolghasemi in the field of Psychology; Dr. Ali Safaei Sangari in the field of Persian Language and Literature; and Dr. Mohsen Akbari, Dr. Mahmoud Moradi, and Dr. Mostafa Ebrahimpour Azbari in the field of Business, Management, and Accounting.
Researchers are selected for this prestigious list based on the ratio of citations their scientific publications receive, highlighting the impact and influence of their work in their respective fields.
