Seven faculty members from the University of Guilan have received a significant recognition for academic excellence, being named among the highly cited researchers in the fields of humanities, social sciences, and arts and architecture for 2025.
The Vice Presidency for Research and Technology at the University of Guilan reported that the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC) acknowledged these scholars for their outstanding contributions to their respective disciplines.
Each year, the ISC publishes a report identifying highly cited researchers across 16 subject areas within these fields, based on a ten-year citation period (2014–2023). The following faculty members were honored: Dr. Reza Simbar and Dr. Seyed Amir Niakooyi in Sociology and Political Science; Dr. Abbas Abolghasemi in Psychology; Dr. Ali Safaei Sangari in Persian Language and Literature; and Dr. Mohsen Akbari, Dr. Mahmoud Moradi, and Dr. Mostafa Ebrahimpour Azbari in Business, Management, and Accounting.
Researchers are selected for this prestigious list based on the citation impact of their publications. This distinction highlights both the scholarly influence and the enduring contributions of these faculty members within their respective fields.
