The Central Laboratory of the University of Guilan has successfully upgraded its international ISO/IEC 17025 certification. This upgrade is part of the university's efforts to expand its specialized, knowledge-based services at provincial, regional, and international levels. It aims to diversify branding and increase dedicated revenue streams for the institution.

The upgraded scope now includes over 1,100 tests and 145 products across various fields, including food and agriculture, chemistry and polymers, microbiology, biology, textiles, fibers and cellulose, paper and cardboard, mechanics, and metallurgy. This accreditation has become even more significant following Iran's accession to the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) agreement. Consequently, the findings of laboratories accredited by the Iran National Accreditation Center are recognized in over 110 countries worldwide, greatly facilitating exports for standardized units.

With its technical expertise, skilled personnel, and numerous advanced instruments, the Central Laboratory of the University of Guilan is well-equipped to enhance product quality, economic development, and public health. This aligns with the university’s commitment to social responsibility and collaboration with regulatory and governmental bodies, including the National Standards Organization, Customs Administration, Food and Drug Administration, and Department of Environmental Protection.

In addition to providing scientific services to students, professors, researchers, and scientific and industrial centers throughout the country, the laboratory is also open to entering into contracts and collaborations with merchants, industrial companies, and executive agencies at provincial, national, and international levels.
