In pursuit of expanding international scientific cooperation, a memorandum of joint collaboration was concluded between the University of Guilan and Atyrau Oil and Gas University named after Safi Utebayev. 

Under the MoU, both parties agreed to establish the necessary frameworks for direct communication and scientific-educational collaboration among faculty members, faculties, and academic departments to conduct activities in shared fields of interest. 

Key provisions include facilitating short- and long-term visits for faculty members; organizing scientific meetings, workshops, and conferences; creating opportunities for exchange programs; launching joint educational courses; conducting collaborative research projects; and more.
